Historic Perspective:
The Islamic faith is the oldest religion in Uganda. It dates back to 1844 durign the reign of king Sua II of Buganda kingdom. It was introduced by Arab merchants and Swahili speaking Africans form the East African Coast who came to Buganda kingdom for trade purposes.
